Tim Grupp was born in Germany and grew up bilingual between New York City and Berlin.
At 18, Tim was scouted by a modeling agency, which first launched him into the world of fashion and photography.
Signed with Next Management, Tim has worked for esteemed clients such as GQ France, British GQ, SKIMS, Numéro, Lululemon, Brady by Tom Brady, National Geographic, Highsnobiety and more.
From 2017 to 2019, he enrolled at the renowned Ostkreuz School of Photography and started assisting prestige photographers such as Walter Pfeiffer, Peter Kaaden, Derek Henderson, and Daniella Midenge.
Throughout his career, Tim has worked with a range of talent including Kourtney Kardashian, Jessica Simpson, Avril Lavigne, KJ Apa and Jeremy Allen White.
He further advanced his career working in-house as an art director and photo producer for Defshop, NewYorker, and +Beryll, handling the visualization and execution of image and fashion campaigns, mood boards, internal presentations, production planning, on-set direction, photo selection, and overseeing retouchers for campaign material.
In 2024, Tim decided to focus on photography, shooting his first fashion editorials for Flaunt, Schön! and Numéro Netherlands.
Tim Grupp is currently based between New York and Los Angeles.
